Welcome to Crying Wolf.
We’ve built this place, brick by brick, to create a warm and hospitable environment for you to enjoy the best of local fare, while maintaining immaculate standards of service. Everything you see and touch at Crying Wolf has been put together by friends and family, including some of the most fervent talents in Bristol and its surrounding areas. All of our juices are pressed fresh to order, our syrups and cordials all made on-site, and wherever possible, everything that is bought in is sourced locally.
The launch menu has been put together by the team at our sister venue, The Dark Horse in Bath, with contributions by Anistatia Miller and Nick Strangeway. Our house-made ingredients this season include a vanilla and quinine syrup, a cardamom and orange sherbet, and a saffron syrup. We also have a clarified milk punch (Ocean of Storms) - a fascinating English tradition dating back to the 17th Century, briefly resurrected for your enjoyment.
Emily Watkins’ bar food menu, Stew Jackson and my playlists, Mishi May’s Aprons, and Jacknife Studio’s logo and set design, and a myriad of other contributors, have all come together to create this unique experience. We hope that you enjoy your time with us, and that you’ll visit us again soon.
